The Position Proposition:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Controls Manager to join our Power Delivery team. The Project Controls Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of power delivery projects by implementing and overseeing robust project controls systems and processes.

Location: Lewisville, TX (In-Office)

  • Develop and implement project controls procedures and systems to monitor and track project performance, including cost, schedule, and scope.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish project baselines and performance metrics.
  • Lead the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against established baselines, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide controls of projects in accordance with Primoris Policies and Procedures and all associated SOX approvals, processes, and documentation.
  • Facilitate project status review meetings with operations and project management teams to discuss and validate forecasts.
  • Generate and analyze project performance reports, trends, and forecasts to provide timely and accurate insights to project teams and management.
  • Facilitate project risk management activities, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and contingency planning.
  • Support project change management processes, including the evaluation of change requests and impact analysis on project cost and schedule.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project controls team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness in project controls processes through the implementation of best practices, tools, and technologies.
 Educational & Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls management within the power delivery or utility industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in project controls, scheduling, and cost management.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
